Dancing improves strength, flexibility and stamina but students taking part in weekly dance classes are finding it offers unexpected benefits.

Local dance teacher Kirby McCutcheon is running extra-curricular hip hop classes this term.  

"I'm sure the girls expected to be improving their physical fitness but dance is also a fantastic creative outlet for them.  I can see the girls growing in self confidence as they become more at ease expressing themselves through movement and contributing their own ideas for choreography," says Kirby.
